John passed away in December of 2025. He was a dedicated father, proud grandfather, and doting great-grandfather. He mentored many agents, including his son, Andrew, who continues the business. Though his 55+ years in the business, he valued professionalism and relationships. 

At Payne Financial Services, Inc., family gatherings, old-time music jams, and local coffee shops, John is sorely missed.
